The warranty of good working order only applies to used automobiles built within the previous 7 years or less. The length of the warranty is determined according to the year the automobile was put on the market and its kilometrage.

Warranty of good working order coverage
The warranty starts on the date the vehicle is delivered. The warranty covers the parts and labour required to ensure the car is working properly.
The warranty of good working order does not cover:
- normal maintenance of the automobile and the replacement of any parts that may be required as a result;
- interior fitting or decorative exterior items;
- damage from misuse of the vehicle after delivery;
- defects listed by the merchant on the vehicle label, provided the merchant included an estimate of the repair costs. The merchant thus guarantees the repair can be made at the price indicated in the estimate.
How to have the warranty of good working order enforced
To have the warranty of good working order enforced, contact the dealer that has sold or leased the vehicle to you. The warranty applies even if the merchant tells you the vehicle is not covered by any warranty.
The merchant is responsible for the towing and repair costs. Even if you purchased an extended or additional warranty, the merchant remains responsible for these costs. You do not have to pay a deductible.
The warranty of good working order extends through the period the merchant is in possession of the automobile to carry out the necessary repairs. If your car spends 4 days at the garage, 4 days are added to the warranty period (unless you first reach the kilometrage limit.)
